Man shot dead in suspected robbery case in Nakuru Kenya

A man was shot dead Friday, November 11 morning while attempting to gain entrance into the Hunters Guard Security Company in Nakuru Town in what has been termed as attempted robbery.
According to the company director, George Mkombozi, the deceased had frequently paid visits to his office in search of an employment opportunity.Mkombozi said that the deceased, only identified as Edward, came to his office in Friday morning and waited for him at the reception area.
The supervisor on duty noted that Edward had been waiting for a while and decided to call Mkombozi but in the process, noticed the suspect was carrying a gun.
He immediately tipped off the police who arrived at the scene a few minutes later and shot dead the suspect after he tried firing at them.
Nakuru OCPD, Joshua Omukatta, confirmed that two other suspects, alleged to have been working with him in planning the robbery, escaped immediately after the shooting.
A homemade gun with several rounds of ammunition was recovered. The gun was seized as investigation begins.
“Due to increased insecurity in Nakuru Town patrol police have been placed to monitor Nakuru Town on 24 hour basis,” Omukatta said.
