have sent out heartbreaking statements honoring and remembering him
A 12-year boy died after falling down a
flight of stairs at his school in Norwich, and his mother is desperately trying
to get some answers as to how that terrible accident could have happened.

Michael Sousa died a week after his fall at
Jane Austen College. He suffered massive head injuries.
His mother, Sandra Rodrigues, is
disconsolate. “What happened to me and my family shouldn't happen to anyone.
When I send my children to school, I trust they will be safe,” she said.
Rodrigues, who has two other children, is
accusing the school of failing to keep her son safe. She hopes “schools
everywhere improve safety and surveillance throughout the whole site, at start
and end of school but also during breaks and in between periods.”

The grieving mother has made an extensive
tribute to Michael, commenting he “had an adventurous spirit and was always
lovely and full of life… My child could change anyone's mood with his ways and
his continuous jokes… He was addicted to dabbing, the running man and other
dance moves”.
The woman has also thanked all the people
who have stayed close to her family, supporting and praying for him. “On his
behalf, I want to say a massive thank you and may God bless you wall,” she
said.
Michael's father, 39-year old Nuno Sousa,
39, was so upset he could not manage make any comments on his son’s death.
