Police have finally arrested Jubilee Party
Nominated Senator Paul Njoroge Ben.
The senator on Tuesday, February 7, had
been involved in a gun drama after he confronted Shell/Vivo Managing Director
Polycarp Igathe at Shell Petrol Station near Karai shopping centre along the
Nairobi-Naivasha highway.
Igathe and his team had arrived at the
petrol station owned by the senator to recover their company assets.
Igathe said the petrol station branded
under Shell had been out of stock for weeks and had no working capital.
The senator had shot
twice at Shell/Vivo Managing Director Polycarp Igathe who had been trying to
recover the company's assets at the petrol station owned by the Njoroge.
The senator is said to have been incensed
when the Shell workers started to remove the logo from the petrol station.
It was then that Njoroge removed his pistol
and fired twice above Igathe sending him and some of the workers fleeing.

According to the Daily Nation, the senator
denied he was arrested instead said he had only gone to the police station to
write a statement.
“I have not been arrested. I am going to
record a statement at the police station,"
Njoroge said.
The senator accused his business rivals for
the messy situation at the petrol station whom he accused of planning to take
it away from him.
“It is a rivalry that has lasted for a
while and I have managed to obtain a court order to the effect,” he said.
