Deputy President William Ruto has finally spoken out after news broke today, Thursday, February 2, that he was being sued for child abandonment.

Taking to his social media pages, DP Ruto said that the child, only identified as Abby, is well taken care of, contrary to what Prisca Jemutai Bett claims.

With this admission, it is clear he stepped out on his wife, Rachel Ruto.

William and Rachel married in 1991, and Abby was born on March 6, 2006.

A leaked document from the offices of lawyer Gitobu Imanyanra claimed that Ruto had abandoned the child and refused to cater to her needs.

According to reports, Bett claimed that Ruto seduced her into a romantic relationship when she was still in campus in 2005 but he has not taken care of his fatherly duties since becoming Deputy President.
