There was drama on Wednesday evening when rights activist Boniface Mwangi and NTV anchor Larry Madowo forced the driver of a Member of Parliament to reverse and follow traffic.
The two blocked Mwingi West MP Bernard Kitungi’s vehicle that was being driven on the wrong side.
In a clip that has gone viral on social media, Mr Mwangi can be seen ordering the MP to “respect the law” and drive on the right side.
Meanwhile, Larry’s car can be seen blocking the MP from driving.
AMBULANCE
Ironically, an ambulance with its sirens blaring approached and was momentarily blocked by the MP’s vehicle.
After a two-minute standoff, the MP’s driver gave in and reversed, rejoining the traffic at the end as Larry’s vehicle ‘tail-gated’.
Larry later tweeted that he had blocked a “shameless guy” using the wrong side of Parliament Road, forced him to reverse.

Members of Parliament, Cabinet Secretaries, Governors and other prominent people in Kenya are notorious for their disrespect of the traffic laws and always driving on the wrong side of the road with their sirens on.
