- Patients all over the country are suffering as the on going strike continues to bite
- The photos of patients suffering in hospitals have been circulating online as Kenyans beg the government to handle the issue
- So far eight Kenyans have died
The doctor’s strike is currently in its fourth day and patients across the country have been greatly feeling it.
With all the medical staff downing their tools to fight for their pay increase, reported number of deaths has seen a sharp rise.
Photos of how the patients are suffering in the hospitals have been doing rounds in social media prompting Kenyans to beg the government and doctors to settle their terms quickly before things get out of control.
However, little progress has been reported so far about the two parties reaching an agreement.
They met on Tuesday at Afya House but hit a deadlock since Health ministry wants doctors to accept a return-to-work formula while the medics are sticking to their 2013 collective bargaining agreement.
